JUNIOR YOUTH GROUPS
The aim of junior youth groups is to empower junior youth to take ownership for their own development, to develop a strong sense of purpose and the desire needed to make wise choices, to recognise the moral issues underlying everyday decisions and identify the moral implications of speech and action, and to channel their energies towards both strengthening their own character and to serving their community.
YOUTH GROUPS
A youth’s desire to bring about constructive change and a capacity for meaningful service underpins the purpose. Youth assist those younger than themselves to refine their characters and prepare to assume responsibility for the well-being of their communities. What takes shape is service by conducting ‘community building activities’ such as junior youth groups or children’s classes. Loving fellowship, mutual encouragement, and willingness to learn together forms the cornerstone of this programme.
OUR LATEST EVENTS
Junior Youth Groups
There are over four junior youth groups in Camberwell throughout the week free for everyone to attend! Arts and crafts, music, recreation, learning and community service are just some of the activities.
Children's Classes
Classes are free and open to all children from any background. They are held at various times with new addtional classes happening soon! Lesson consists of arts and crafts, songs, stories, and games.
CHILDREN'S CLASSES
Children are the most precious treasure a community can possess, for in them are the promise and guarantee of the future. They bear the seeds of the character of future society which is largely shaped by what the adults constituting the community do, or fail to do, with respect to the education of children.
